2 Tips for Installing Laminate floor in Doorways

We are installing a cushion floor in the bathroom so there will be a transition from the laminate floor tot he cushion floor.

Tip 1: For purely cosmetic reasons it is a good idea to finish the laminate about halfway in to the door opening. That way the transition point will be hidden under the door - when it is closed.

Tip 2: Also remember that it is best to install the laminate, or any finish flooring materials, before the door frames go in. That way the gap between the flooring and door opening is hidden by the door frame.
